Colt Canada’s C25 Sharpshooter brings a precision-focused version of its C7/C8-derived platform to the company’s lineup. The manufacturer lists a semi-automatic action, 5.56Ă—45mm NATO chambering and an 18-inch, unchromed, free-floating, cold hammer-forged barrel.
What Colt Canada’s specifications confirm
The product information names a Geissele SSA two-stage trigger, ambidextrous controls and a longer M-LOK upper receiver. A multi-function muzzle device is intended to reduce sound and visible signature. The published weight is 9 pounds with the suppressor, excluding the optic, mount, red dot, bipod and magazine.
Colt Canada says the C25 series was developed with Canada’s Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces. Its page contains inconsistent trigger and stock descriptions in different sections; the detailed specification table identifies the SSA trigger and an LMT DMR adjustable stock. Specifications remain subject to change.
The marksman role
A designated marksman supports a unit with more deliberate, precision-oriented fire while remaining part of that unit. The label describes a role, not a promise that a particular rifle turns its owner into a trained marksman.
For a civilian target shooter, this is a reminder to consider a rifle as a complete system: fit, controls, optic and training all deserve attention. A military specification sheet is useful context, but it is not an independent accuracy test. Adding every visible accessory also changes weight and cost.
Price and civilian availability
The reviewed manufacturer page gives no price or U.S. civilian release announcement. That does not establish that sales are permanently excluded. GUN Crusade has not tested the rifle or confirmed a retail configuration.
